Coach Robinson
Coach Adam Robinson is a dedicated track and field coach and former NCAA Division I thrower, with over a decade of experience nurturing athletes from youth levels to division I. His passion for the sport and commitment to athlete development have led to remarkable achievements both on and off the field.
  Collegiate Athlete at Alabama A&M University (2013–2017)
Adam competed as a thrower for Alabama A&M University (AAMU) from 2013 to 2017, specializing in shot put, discus, hammer, and weight throw. His collegiate career laid a strong foundation for his future coaching endeavors.
   Coaching Career
Alabama A&M University (2017–2019)
After graduating, Coach Robinson served as a volunteer graduate assistant throws coach at AAMU. During this period, he coached Akeem Samuels to historic victories:

AAMU's first-ever Division I gold medals in the weight throw and hammer throw at the 2018 SWAC Outdoor Championships.

A gold medal in the discus throw.

Samuels earned the SWAC Outdoor Field MVP title by scoring 34 points.
His coaching was influenced by esteemed mentors, including Travis Spinks and Victor Houston, a two-time Olympian and NCAA champion.
Coach Robinson further honed his coaching skills under the guidance of Damien Brigham, former associate head coach at AAMU, and Michelle Clayton, Troy University's assistant coach for throws and strength training.
  Huntsville Junior High School (2022–2024)
As head coach, he led the girls' track team to their third consecutive first-place finish in his inaugural year. The boys' team also achieved a commendable second-place finish under his leadership.
Currently, Adam coaches Lyric Stevenson, the nation's top-ranked 9-year-old shot putter, who boasts multiple national titles and All-American honors.
  Founder of Rocket City Athletics
In 2024, Adam founded Rocket City Athletics, a track and field club based in Huntsville, Alabama. The club is dedicated to providing comprehensive training programs for athletes of all ages, focusing on technical development, strength conditioning, and competitive excellence.
